Canada's Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA) will be holding its annual national conference in the Yukon. CAZA promotes the welfar of, and the advancement and improvement of, zoological parks, aquariums and related animal exhibits in Canada as humane, agents of recreation, education, conservation and science.

Amid shifts in education, marketing and visitor services, understand how museums are adopting new practices and programs to engage audiences as they reconsider their roles in the community and the roles of their visitors.

This online workshop focuses on questions around UNESCO’s recognition of Intangible Cultural Heritage; its identification, protection and sustainability; the role of the associated community; and, the connection of intangible heritage to tangible heritage – place and object. Participants will identify issues and critique intangible heritage practices from around the world. Live, real-time sessions combine theoretical discussion with practical examples.
