Yukon Heritage Symposium

Monday, October 19, 2015

October 19th, 2015 | 10am-4:30pm | Yukon Transportation Museum, Whitehorse

The annual Yukon Heritage Symposium provides an opportunity to meet and connect with others actively involved in heritage conservation across the Territory--from those working in museums and cultural centres, to heritage planners, historians and others. It's a chance to meet new colleagues and catch up with old ones, be inspired by new ideas and trends from outside of the Territory, and share knowledge and best practices on what works in the Yukon. The Yukon Transportation Museum, celebrating its 25th year, will provide a historially-inspiring backdrop to our activities.

Heritage practitioners face significant and varied challenges across the Territory. Every day, Yukoners are finding innovative, creative and practical solutions to these issues. The annual YSymposium is structured to encourage peer exchange on a number of topics and current issues of interest to the Yukon heritage community. By strengthening our community ties and drawing from best practices and lessons learned, the Yukon heritage community can work together to continue to inspire and share a passion for Yukon heritage.
