Individuals and institutions can join YHMA to participate in a diverse, vibrant heritage community and support efforts that conserve, interpret and celebrate the Yukon’s heritage.

The YHMA membership reflects the scope and diversity of the Yukon heritage community. Our institutional members include museums, First Nation cultural centres, historical societies, art galleries, archives, historic sites, science centres, zoos and nature reserves. Our individual members include museum employees, contractors and consultants, Board members and volunteers, and others actively involved in the heritage sector or who have an interest in heritage.

Our membership year runs from April 1-March 31st. Some membership categories include the option to renew for multiple years at a time.

All YHMA members receive the follow benefits:

  • Biannual newsletter
  • Vote at AGM (except Subscriber)
  • 30% discount on The National Trust for Canada membership
  • Free, limited (non-voting, non-preferred supplier) Affiliated Membership membership with TIA Yukon and discount on Direct Membership (except Subscriber)

  • Free listing in and access to Yukon Heritage Contractor’s Database
  • Access to training and professional development resources
  • Networking opportunities with heritage and cultural sector community


Patron members receive additional recognition in ‘Supporter’s Circle’ on YHMA website, in our biannual newsletter, and in our annual report. 

Institutional members are eligible to particiate in joint marketing activities.

Corporate/Affiliate members also receive a listing on this site and up to 2 free business card-sized ads in the YHMA newsletter (one per issue).

Subscriber memberships are intended for those who only wish to receive the YHMA newsletter.

YHMA members receive 30% off The National Trust for Canada Membership!

Yukon Historical & Museums Association (YHMA) members are eligible for a 30% discount on The National Trust for Canada membership. National Trust member benefits include a subscription to locale magazine, free admission to National Trust properties in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States, free admission to our historic sites in Canada, and discounted rates for national conferences.
